Java Plugin Internet Explorer 1.6.0_11
Hi allI have installed Cisco Configuration Professional 2.8 and everything seemed fine while installing, the requirements were all checked correctly (flash, java, IE, etc).But when I try to run it I get the following error:'Cisco Configuration Professional requires Internet Explorer Java plug-in 1.6.011 or above. Please instal Java Runtime Environment before running the application.'
I have Java 8 with the ' -Xmx256m -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false' runtime parameter and the next-gen Java plugin feature unchecked. So faraway pinc inc raritan nj. I also tried running it as admin.I read that java 8 had some issues, and tried again with java 7 with the same result.Anyone has any idea about how to fix it?I'm using windows 7 64-bit.
As of March 2010 CommVault is only supporting up to Jave version 1.6.017 as there were bugs introduced in version 1.6.018 that affect how check boxes function. Review this Kb for the additional notes and work arounds for those customers that are aware of the risks but still must use the latest version of java.Java did not really start supporting x64 architecture until after 1.6.011, but 1.6.016 was complete support.
I recommend getting and using the Offline version of the Java Client as it has the complete support file set for use on the CommServe and any other systems that access the GUI.From section titled '1. If choosing 'Windows Offline Installation', download and check the download file size'.
