Whenever I try to install anything I get this: 'Windows ® installer has stopped working.' Problem started either yesterday or today. Don't know if this has anything to do with what is going on but the computer got a blue screen while running a scan with Norton anti-virus.When I input msiexec /? I get the same thing: 'Windows ® installer has stopped working.'

-Also if I go here C:WindowsSysWOW64 and run msiexec.exe it I get this:Windows ® Installer. Thanks Michael. But I to got it to work properly now. I will post any major changes (That I remember) just in case anybody wants to try what I did.-I deleted whatever I could in my temp files. Then I went to 'HKLMSystemCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerPendingFileRenameOperations' and cleared the entries.I went to HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/msiserverThen changed the key 'ImagePath' from '%systemroot%system32msiexec /V' to '%systemroot%SysWOW64msiexec /VRestarted my PCChanged HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/msiserver/ImagePath back to '%systemroot%system32msiexec /V.' Ran 'cmd' and entered 'msiexec /unreg' then entered 'msiexec /regserver'Restarted my PC againProfit:DWorked for me.

If an app or network that you want to use needs a certificate that you don't have, you can install that certificate.Digital certificates identify computers, phones, and apps for security. Just like you'd use your driver’s license to show that you can legally drive, a digital certificate identifies your device and confirms that it should be able to access something. Most certificates are installed automatically. You don't usually need to do anything with certificates.

But to manually install a certificate, follow the steps below. Note: Some of these steps work only on Android 9 and up. Install a certificate. Open your device's Settings app. Tap Security & location Advanced Encryption & credentials. Under 'Credential storage,' tap Install from storage. In the top left, tap Menu.

Under 'Open from,' tap where you saved the certificate. Tap the file. (If needed, enter the key store password.

Tap OK.). Type a name for the certificate. Pick VPN and apps or Wi-Fi.

Tap OK.If you haven't already set a PIN, pattern, or password for your device, you’ll be asked to set one up. Remove custom certificatesYou can remove certificates that you've installed. This doesn't remove permanent system certificates that your device needs to work. Open your device's Settings app. Tap Security & location Advanced Encryption & credentials.

Under 'Credential storage,' tap Clear credentials OK.Advanced. Certificate authorities (CAs) are trusted third parties that issue digital certificates.Important: Most people don't need to work with CA certificates. Adding a CA certificate can affect your device's security. Most apps don't work with CA certificates that you addIn Android 7.0 and up, by default, apps don't work with CA certificates that you add. But app developers can choose to let their apps work with manually added CA certificates.
